Tasting Notes
This is not your typical cherry wine. This fortified wine has a touch of sweetness which compliments its higher alcohol content. It warmly coats the palate with layered cherry flavors, caramel and cinnamon.

These two well established Old Mission cherry orchards are in their prime and producing delicious cherries for production and roadside fruit stands.
Production Notes
Pies and baked goods are the fate of most Traverse City cherries. These lucky cherries received a higher honor. Two vintages of Balaton cherries were fermented into a cherry wine base. Riesling grape brandy was then added. This fortified wine was aged port style in Kentucky Bourbon barrels for three years then blended together. The different vintages, years of aging, and added smoothness from the barrel create an unforgettable cherry experience.
Food Pairing Notes
This interesting dessert wine can offer itself as a stand alone dessert or pair with any chocolate concoction. Favorites are chocolate Ganache cake or pour over ice cream.
